About Infigo Consulting

Infigo Consulting is a Romanian engineering and R&D company founded in 2020 to turn advanced academic research into practical, reliable technology for industry and healthcare. We build end-to-end prototypes—mechanical, electronic, and AI software—across medical robotics, autonomous drones, and intelligent automation.

Our original mission was to create a user-friendly robotic system for flexible instrument navigation in minimally invasive procedures. Combining electromagnetic tracking with artificial intelligence, our work supports applications in bronchoscopy, gastroenterology, and cardiovascular interventions, and draws on collaborations with leading institutions such as SINTEF (Norway), Massachusetts General Hospital & Harvard Medical School (USA), and the URobotics Lab at Johns Hopkins University (USA).

What we do

  • Autonomous Drones (UAS) — design, prototyping & control software
    Custom multirotor platforms, embedded electronics, flight control, and AI autonomy for: search & rescue, perimeter and critical-infrastructure security, forest and environmental monitoring, industrial inspection, and defense/military reconnaissance. Recent work includes an intelligent quadcopter for automated perimeter monitoring and dispatch to camera-flagged events. 
  • Medical Robotics & Imaging AI
    Navigation and control software for flexible instruments, computer vision for endoscopy/ultrasound, and clinical decision support. Notable projects include AI for early pancreatic cancer detection (deployed with Orlando Health, USA). 
  • R&D Consulting & Prototyping
    CAD/CAE design, computational simulation, embedded systems, and rapid prototyping. We have delivered UAV airframe design for industry partners, probabilistic vibration analysis software, UV-robot sterilization systems at scale, and robotic sorting test stands. 

Track record

Born as a university spin-off, we grew from CAD/CAE and testing services into full prototype delivery in robotics and drones. Our founder’s coordinated portfolio spans 15+ national grants and 2 international programs (EEA/Norway Grants) with an aggregate budget exceeding €6M, demonstrating our ability to manage complex consortia and substantial R&D budgets. 

Selected references: UAV prototype design for Caelynx Europe, advanced vibration simulation software for FluidStruct, 80 high-power UV sterilization robots, interactive AI display systems, an intelligent quadcopter for security, a UR3e robotic sorting demo cell, AI endoscopy analysis for pancreatic tumors (Orlando Health, USA), and an AR-enabled dialysis training simulator (Indiana University, USA).
